Council Represents Clean Energy Technology Interests at UN Climate Change Meetings
The UNFCCC Bangkok Ad Hoc Working Group meetings provided insight into the workplan and expectations of delegates at the beginning of new negotiations for a post-2012 multi-lateral climate change agreement. BCSE Climate Change Task Force Chairman Jim Wolf attended these talks March 31 to April 4 on behalf of the BCSE and the International Council for Sustainable Energy.
The next negotiating session will be held June 2 to 14 in Bonn, Germany, and the BCSE will lead an industry delegation to these meetings. At these sessions the Council will continue to advocate on behalf of clean energy industry interests and express support for a legally binding international treaty that creates a stable, long-term market framework for low carbon technology development and deployment.
