The Council has been highly effective in bringing together multiple stakeholders, such as environmental and energy regulators, environmental organizations, industry leaders and consumer groups, to improve energy planning and environmental policy.

 

The Council, through its extensive global network, is also active in multilateral forums such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development.
